Riding lawn mowers are generally easier to use. However, they are not all operated the same way. Zero turn mowers use two handlebars to control speed and direction. Pushing either bar forward will give either wheel more power or less. On the other hand, tractor style lawn mowers use a wheel like cars. Therefore, they are slightly easier to learn.
