How to Save Money and Still Get the Most Out of Your Winter Vacation

Condos in sanibel island

Going on a winter holiday vacation this year? These days, traveling can be expensive. If you?re worried about money, consider the following penny-pinching vacation tips.

  1. Airfare

The earlier you start planning, the better deal you?re bound to score on airline tickets. Visit discount websites like Travelocity or Expedia for the best possible rates. Remember that round trip tickets are always a better deal that purchasing two one-way tickets, and as annoying as connecting flights can be, those layovers can often save you a ton of money in the end.
  2. Meals

If your vacation accommodations include a kitchen or kitchenette, consider visiting the local grocery store and cooking all of your meals yourself. Going out to dinner every night can get extremely pricey, and the breakfasts offered at most hotels are overpriced and not that tasty.
  3. Vacation Accommodations

If you?re staying at one destination for more than a few days, consider vacation rental condos. They are a lot more comfortable than hotels and offer a number of amenities that will help you save money and get the most out of your trip. Also consider staying in a town just outside of the city you?re visiting. Oftentimes, these less touristy locations have less expensive hotel and condo rates.
  4. Currency

If you?re traveling out of the country, you?re going to need to exchange your American dollars for local money. Go online and find out where you can get the best exchange rate. For instance, many exchange centers have terrible rates, but airports are often better.
  5. Shopping

If you?re looking for souvenirs to take back to the family, consider browsing the airport duty free shop. This way you won?t have to pay taxes on any of your purchases. Another good practice to forgo the souvenirs altogether. Does anyone really need a mini Eiffel Tower keychain?

You don’t have to drain your bank account to have a relaxing vacation this winter. Plan ahead, shop smart, and you’re bound to have a great time without spending the big bucks. Continue reading here.

Planning A Wedding? Rent These Three Items To Make Your Life Easier!

Linen tablecloth rental

Are you planning a wedding soon? If so, you are not alone. Thousands of brides and grooms alike set out to plan their upcoming nuptials every single day in this country and others. Whether you are planning a destination wedding in a foreign country, a backyard wedding in your hometown, or a traditional church wedding, there are a few things that are a requirement for each of them, and it is not the dress or tuxedo. Weddings are all about the details, and that includes things like table linens, chairs, and tents. The good news for your pocketbook is that each of these can be rented. Below are just a few things to remember about those items when you go to order them for your own wedding:

1. Table Linens Rentals – Renting wedding reception linens has become a standard for brides and grooms throughout the last decade. Not only does renting your wedding tablecloths save you money, but it allows you to avoid the hassle of washing, ironing, and keeping up with them. Linen rental companies offer products that come in all sizes, colors, and shapes so that you can have the perfect setting for your wedding day. Table linens rentals are typically very affordable and can really add pizazz to your reception.

2. Chairs – As of now, the average number of people that attend a wedding is 165. That may not sound like a lot at first glance, but if you are in the midst of planning a wedding that sounds like 165 mouths to feed, 165 thank you notes to write, and of course 165 chairs to make sure are placed perfectly. If you are choosing a venue that does not already have seating, you might want to consider renting the chairs that your guests will sit in during both the ceremony and the reception.

3. Tents – Did you know that nearly 45,000 weddings take place each weekend around the globe? With this large of a number it is surprising that anyone makes their wedding distinctly unique, but brides and grooms still find ways to pull it off. From having a friend officiate, to using bubbles for the sendoff, to having your reception in a huge beautiful outdoor tent; making your wedding unique is absolutely possible! Tents are great for wedding ceremonies and receptions alike because they really do provide a relaxing yet classy environment for people to enjoy the day or night.

If you are planning your wedding now and having made all of the final decisions yet, consider the time and money you could save by using tent, chairs, and table linens rentals.
